Turner and the Whale

The Turner and the Whale website represents a partnership between the History of Art department at the University of York, York Art History Collaborations, Hull Maritime Museum, and the University of York Library. In particular, the project represents a collaboration between Jason Edwards and Martha Cattell, in the department, who wrote the text; Robin Diaper, at the Hull Maritime Museum, who sourced and provided the majority of the images; and Sue Elphinstone, Fergus McGlynn, and Paul Shields in the Library, who oversaw, designed, and helped conceptualise the site, and provided additional image capture and copyright clearances.
